Was detecting after work earlier this week for a short stint at a local park near my work. Rocking the Deus as usual. A guy approaches me saying he just took up metal detecting and uses an old fisher. We get to talking and turns out we both live about a mile apart despite both working in another county.
He's inquisitive about the deus and I show him the ropes and invite him to come out and hunt with me and use it. We exchange numbers and go on an hour hunt at one of my permissions. I get him set up on the deus with a crash course and wander off with the etrac. 3rd target was a 2 silver spill. Woo woo. Met a fellow detectorist, let him test drive the deus, and found a lil silver.
