The gold thing is tiny. About the size of a pinkie fingernail. At each terminus, iron came out. The broken brass . . . Rosette maybe?

My bad, Tony. The little gold thing nearest the DATE on the Indian Head Penny. And then the round thing directly to the left of the gold thing . . . which is broken into 3 pieces. Not enough there to get an I.D. on I'm thinking.

Of what I can see the gold deal reminds me of the neck on a pocket watch that the winding stem went through.
