Three of us hit the creek for a couple hours Yesterday. After getting over the shock of the cold water which was about a foot higher than we liked we settled in and started sifting. I found a pocket full of pottery sherds, one tip and this water worn Newnan. It's ugly but it's mine! Th e water rose about a foot while we were hunting so we had to call it a day. Hopefully the level will drop this week and we can get back in before the weather cools off.

That’s super! Im going today. Only a few days left at this spot. I shut myself off on this creek on October 1st. Bow season starts. I don’t want to ruin the action for folks sitting in trees.
I used to be one.

If you aint finding them ugly ones, you aint lookin.

Kidding aside, finding any worked stone, is fun and interesting.
Even the broken ones can tell a story if you study the break unless of course they are snapped clean
