One field...7 types of lead

Civilman and I hit a spot today that we haven't got much out of,
If you don't count his half dime, LOL.
I was lucky enought to find a few firsts for me. Three to be percise.
Finds included,

69 musket Ball
3 - 58 three ringers
3 - bucks
Gardner
Gardner type 175
Gardner type 169
Carcano (Never even heard of this one before)

We had a GREAT day just detecting, recovering a little history, and
telling our stories (You know, "That one was bouncing so bad I almost
didn't dig it" and "That was a SOLID 27").

Wow! 69 cal. that's huge. The only gun I know that fired them is a Continental Army flintlock pistol.

Nice finds Ty. I really like the Carcano,pretty hard to find now day's. Another name for the Carcano is Italian Garbaldi. They came in 3 different sizes. The sizes on them are .54 , .58, and .69 . Yours is a MM# 199.

Remind's me of the Food Lion field's Ty.....I think we've pulled 14 different type's out of there.It was a fun day,and from one our least liked field's at that.Congrat's on the Carcano too......Very Nice Find Buddy!!!!!!!! :thumbsup: Sweet Dig's.....

Thanks for the information. I looked it up and those babies go for around
$50 each............COOL!!!

Wow!! That is a nice bullet.. good digs on that one!!

The bullet to the left of the gardners.... is that a gardner?? It looks a lot like a sharps in the pic but hard to tell...

Nice civil war finds. I have never heard of a Carcano before either.
