One can meet the nicest people on the beach when detecting....I'm talkin' about

the detectorists from the T-Net forum whom I met over the past few days while on vacation...definitely gentlemen with class!:headbang:

Fenway, Plymouthian, Surf n Turf, Whydah, and Leprechaun...it was a pleasure to share the beach with you.Thank you all for your graciousness.

Lep &Terri, thanks again for being such gracious host and hostess, and for the delicious pizza.:icon_thumleft:

Whydah, thanks for all the much needed advice, and for helping Hank & me find our way back from a one way street!:laughing7:

Now...on to the finds: lots of silver coins,"Buffs", "wheaties", a "V" nickel( 1896), an IH , a musket ball, and my favorite...a lead jockey riding a horse.

Here is a link to what I believe is the origin of this lead race horse:

Good luck next hunt Lorraine:treasurechest:

It sure is nice meeting our online friends in person. I like the racehorse!

WOW! Congrats Lorraine :occasion14:

Lorraine. It was all our pleasure for sure... Glad we were able to put you onto some silver goodies...... I also love that horse... Hey that little Blue Sterling pin looks familier...LOLOL You are welcome on our beaches anytime... Please come and visit again soon... Don't you just love those rocks we dig through? Have a great weekend my friend... Whydah

It was nice to meet you and Hank too! Looks like you had a little luck! I hope Hank enjoyed the golfing - that is a really nice course!

We really do have a great bunch of guys up here. Everyone you listed has taught me a lot about detecting! I hope to see you again soon.

By the way, nice job resetting those horse legs! Those hyper-extensions can be tough!

Fenway

I'm jealous! Massachusetts used to be my "home" (just south of Boston, about an hour's drive from Cape Cod). Now I live in the wilds of New Hampshire and don't get down to the Cape...oh well... Glad to hear you had a wonderful vacation and met some "new" friends. Besides the cool finds, isn't this what metal detecting is all about? Friends and relaxation. :laughing9:

Really, really nice finds! Love the racehorse, too.

Take care and happy hunting,
Anita

Great Finds !!!

Oh, I just realized that the medallion you had found was mistakenly included in my photo...I must clarify that it was not I, but you who found that nice medallion.
