Today, on the way to football practice, I stopped at 3 or 4 yardsales, or the dregs of them as it was Monday, but at my last stop the lady told me she had some furniture inside, an oak hutch and couch, and something else but all I heard was oak hutch since my wife has wanted one for yrs. I told her I might be interested in the oak hutch. She told me she wanted a hundred dollars for it. I followed her inside and couldn't believe what I saw, it was huge, over 7 ft high and it is 5 ft wide or more. It has glass shelves, 4 glass doors on the top, and is lighted. On the base are 4 cabinet doors. I snagged it, of course. It matches the dining room furniture perfectly. It is solid wood and took the woman's husband and her son and myself to get it into my truck. I will post pics if I ever figure out how to do on this site. I really think this hutch is worth several times what I paid for it. Happy Hunting out there. T.

I think you got a great deal for the $100 investment. You should check it out later for the manufacturers label, it will tell you more about the piece and give you an idea to its actual value.

I keep trying to post a pic of the hutch in our dining room, but it says my file is too large everytime. Can anyone help me on how to post a pic here, or better yet how to make it the right size to do so? Thanks, T.

tford62...Go up to the Photography/Images forum...Someone there will answer all your questions, I feel sure!

Another way is to change the settings on your camera...this is the easiest fix. Change it to the lowest setting..typically .03...then take the pics...this should work.

I build custom furniture, and from what info you've given us, I'd charge at least 1000 dollars to build it minimum
