Hi All,
I read some where that world wide people lose 1 billion dollars a year.... Seeing what I have metal detecting I can beleive that. My question is How much of that billion is being found???? My best year ever was just over the $450.00 mark (clad only) , do you think that there are that many detectorists???? I was wondering if we add all are totals together how much have we found in one year ????

im at $48.08 not including a dozen wheats couple silvers and a silver ring with birthstone did imention all the pull tabs >:( counted it yesterday so most was with the ol BH but the new X5 TROY still getting the hang of it but am getting the hang of it with more use.

I probably recover about $250 in clad a year.

Let the math do the Talking . 1,000,000.00 dollars X 1000 + 1 ,000,000,000.00 So now you take 12 million detectorists world wide and divide that into 1 billion per year and we get an average of each one finding 8 ,333,333.00 which means that we should all be finding
8 miillion plus a year. HMMMM where do you think my 8 mill is hiding ??????? OFF TO THE HUNT WE GO

I know where all that money is...................... I dig at least a half million dollars a year worth of alluminum pull tabs. recycling centers buy in bulk. lol

I'm at $89.12 in clad since January 7th. ?With Silver another $2.05. ?Man I wish I had more time to hunt....Damn Job! ;D~CO2

I picked up $324.99 last year in coins and currency -- and that was the non-detector finds, just walking around town. It came to: paper money $67 (two tens, three fives, 32 ones); coins, excluding wheaties and silver, (407 quarters, 773 dimes, 428 nickels, 5,754 pennies). I hope that adds up correctly. My little share of the one billion lost annually.

last summer was my first season MDing..
i pulled up $118 in clad..i am sure i could got much more if i had more time to MD
also i live in canada and our $1 and $2 are coins, so clad adds up really fast here

I guess if there's that much out there, I better get myself a bigger tumbler. Will this work? ;D
