on-line source of shipping manifests

greetings from not-so-sunny italy -

my interest is 16th cent. stringed instruments - vihuelas, tiples, early guitars in particular - and i would like to ask if anyone could direct me to an on-line source (in english, french or spanish) for shipping manifests or new world cargo declarations of the period, containing itemized cargo lists and - hopefully - some sort of description.

a tall order, i realize but you never know ...

You have go digging for manifests, and its probably a good thing, that way only the serious guys find the goods.
