A old structure buried deep within. Im still trying to figure out its age maybe you can help. No signs of fire damage just years of neglect.

This is the driveway directly in front of the house. at the very front of this is a small stone wall entrance. I didnt get into the field or near the huge barn due to i was wearing shorts an the ivey back here was enormous.

But my projecct is
To locate owner Done
Talk to the owner. (currently out of the country)
and get permission to hunt this place in the winter. Hell i would even do it in the summer.
But i may have to buy it just to hunt it but we will see

Looks like an awesome spot to spend some time! I love the arched windows! I wonder what it looked like when it was in its heyday. Good luck!

Looks like a fun place to poke around. I don't get the impression that The Out of Country Owner has much interest in it. And, heck, if the graffiti kids weren't spooked...

post some no trespass signs ;D

looks old but also looks to have been wired for electricity when built {bricks missing at front door light/switch}....most often when wiring an older unwired house the wire was run on top of the brick instead of inside them, but not always........looks to have been deserted quite a while though........possibly 20s-30s.......gldhntr

Wow...I would be all over that...maybe the historical society has info on its beginings...I would be hunting the creek also! See if you can find some glory days pictures and let us see them...Cant wait to see your finds!

Since you said the owner is out of the country right now... and the house is already beyond repair and the yard looks pitiful, I would probably just go and dig.

If they catch you, just say your detector is a fancy spray paint remover and you were concerned about making your city more beautiful ;) haha or just be honest.

so what did you find on the ABANDONED property??? im sure ur already there;)

Currently just had the ac fixed in my truck an the day out with my nephew i havent had a chance to get back an my first metal detecting injury a slow creep of poison ivey on my leg i need tostop detecting in shorts.

Should be easy enough to date. Just find the county plot maps from your area or the Sandborn map fire maps. Just keep going back through the maps until the structure doesn't appear on the maps and you got yourself a time frame.
