So for months I have been pondering... Deciding... And i finally made my decision a few weeks back.. The Minelab Explorer SE...

But wait!... The wife, the cost....

Would you believe the birthday present...??? Damn I have to say I am one lucky guy..

SO now the learning curve begins... This thing has some bells and wistles as compared to my Garret Masterhunter ( which I traded in )...

Anyways I am up at 5am... cant sleep... Really want to try this thing out... I am sure I am going to come home frustrated. I ran her through the front yard.. She sings like a drunk choir... Wish me luck... lol

Any SE users have any advice... Iron mask on low vs coin prog, tones etc?

Just be prepared to dig deep! If those cross hairs get pushed up and half off the upper right hand corner dig with care, because it's probably wilver.

Happy hunting and Congratulations on your new machine!

:o Congrats on the New Birthday present. My wife got me an Explorer when they first came out about nine years ago. I'm still learning new things that the thing can do. Like Ridley said " Be prepared To Dig Deep "
real deep. HH and keep us posted on your treasures!

Happy Birthday to you and CONGRATS on your newest present!

I wish you many wonderful days digging to your hearts content.

Hubby got me the Minelab Exp II for my birthday/Mother's Day present..but it was too heavy and big for me...so I gave it back to him and he got me my Garrett Ace 250 (which I love!)...he loves the Minelab.

We've had this one for over a year, and he's still learning and understanding the signals...but he's done pretty good with it.

Look forward to your posts of your finds with your NEW BABY!!!

Again, Happy Birthday and HAPPY HUNTING!

I'm thinking about getting Minelab Explore SE. How deep does she go?? How hard is the learning curve?
