Sent from my expensive phone I really don't need

The Nel Hunter coil 12.5" X 8.5" is a little heaver, better built than the 11"DD Tek. coil,
The Nel Hunter Gets a little more depth than the 11"DD Tek. coil.
as for EMI the NEL Hunter does much better than the 11"DD Tek. coil.
The NEL Hunter Separates and Pin Points as good as the Tek. coil.
The Nel is a little more Stable than the Tek. 11"DD coil.

The 12.5 NEL is the Hunter coil, Great coil!! I have one for both my Fisher and my Bounty Hunter rigs. The NEL coils offer a little bit heavier and better shielded wire, along with a slight increase in size and better potting on the electronics to obtain their slight edge in performance. I use the 9.5 x 5.5 Sharpshooter and 12.5 x 5.5 Hunter coils. They are a bit heavier but respond great out in heavy over-growth.

Owned a Nel coild for a while just started using with my omega you have to listen a little harder and watch vdi this will far out preform standard coils I have never picked up a dime deeper than 7" with stock coil with Nel I'm pinpointing at 10" regularly getting much more out of parks I only got clad in before .... Hope this is helpful

Great info!! Thanks!!! I'm looking for another coil for my Omega. (beach, trashy areas) Only have the 10" stock coil currently.

I have an Omega; I added a Hunter coil to my kit back in March and have been using it for the past several months. I love it.
I was using a Sharpshooter, but have kept the Hunter on pretty much full time since day one. The heavier weight sometimes becomes an issue after a while; I think I'm going to get myself / make a sling of some sort.
Depth and stability are good, though I haven't had any ringing over 9 or 10".
An improvement over the stock coil; in depth, clarity and separation. Depth info. accuracy has been spot on; if it says 7" then it is.
Very happy with this setup.
I'd prefer a little more depth but the weight of a larger coil would be a real pain.
I'm sure I will, eventually, get a larger coil, for limited use / areas.

Gtfm2345, which nel coil are you referring to? Hunter, tornado or sharp shooter?

Thank you

Opie, are you still enjoying your larger nel coil?

I've loved them, I'm ordering another Hunter for my other F2.
