Hi,
I recently purchased a new Omega 8000 directly from First Texas through the promotion I found out about here from a member. The detector was shipped in a plain brown box rather than the more common printed box. I was told that was because they ran out of boxes. I want to register if for the warranty but one of the required pieces of information is the serial number. I'd usually just look for the UPC on the box which would usually have the serial number but of course it was not there. I also can't find the serial number printed on the exterior of the detector. I am told that my Omega 8000 is version 6 and the only difference between version 5 and 6 was that 6 had an embedded serial number. So there must be some way to turn on the machine and have the serial number show. Does anyone know how this is done? I can't find any directions in the manual on how to do it. Thanks in advance for your help.
All the best,
Ted
