I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and have not found a lot of very old coins. This is my first IH a 1891. I didn't know it was an IH until an hour later while I was cleaning my finds. I also found my second Washington silver (yes I cleaned the siver up it looked scarred and beaten up). There were several wheaties so I'm not sure of the exact hole I pulled the Indian head from but i rung up as a zincoln at 7 inches. I know I passed up this same VDI at similar depth, so I will dig those next time. I spoke with the people next door to my relatives and they don't mind me searching their yard. Seems most of the time if you ask they don't mind. Good luck all.

a day without pull tabs is like a day without sunshine.

Good finds. Not always can you get permission but if you dont ask you will never know. Its always better to ask than to do something stupid and make other detectors look bad. Congrats on your finds and cudos for doing the right thing to begin with!
