Hi all. Hope everyone's week has got off to a good start. Mine has! I obtained permission today from a coworker to hunt his Mother's property. She was killed by a drunk driver either last year or the year before. It is a very nice place with huge yard, many huge old trees and little pockets of gardens scattered over 2+ acres. After work, I managed about 2 1/2 hours before dark. I am happy with the results. Thanks for looking!

It has been tentatively ID'ed as a draped bust LC by one member, but two believe it to be a Liberty Cap.

Alright, give me a hint. What's that old copper you got there? I never find them so I need to ask. :tongue3:
Great job Dave. That little angel was meant to be. I bet you just scratched the surface at that place.
Congrats on some great recoveries,
Doug

P.S. Speaking of gardens, Quindy told me he asked Dman to plant two-lips many a time. :laughing7:

Congrats on some great recoveries,

Thanks, Doug. I was quite pleased with the LC, lol. The owner told me the house on the property was either very late 1940's or early 1950's. He gave me the old " I really don't know what you'd find, but have at it!". I knew there was activity in the immediate area from at least early 1700's, so I wanted to try.

Yes, it is a Draped Bust now that I look at it closer and with more scrutiny. I'm quite rusty after 25+ years of not studying coins like I did with my brother back in the day.

Great finds! A large cent and some silver in the same hunt is pretty cool.

Great finds. Would love to see a date show up on the copper. Congrats

Thank you, Sir! I was hoping for some late silvers but the LC was a nice surprise. The Washington still has a nice reeded edge.

If its near where we were I was gonna say that area seems to have alot of history!
Cant wait to get back out, moving, painting(yea still) etc etc lol

No, this is south of where you left your car, lol! When I texted you, all I could see was a little of a right facing bust, and I immediately thought KG III.

Nice finds for sure! Congrats!
We should buy stock in the tooth pick industry!
