This home goes back to the turn of the 17 C (early 1700s). Waited many years to hunt it. Owner finally gave permission but said couple others have done it while I was waiting
. One was supposedly a privy digger.
Anyway I was getting signals that no decent detectorist would have left but not much if any good stuff so far (this, a hem weight, and a '35 Merc)
This thing was deeper, and has a beautiful heavy patina. I’m pretty sure it’s horse tack, but any ideas? For the bit? It’s cast and I include a close-up of the business end. Any ideas on age? Thanks!
