Got out yesterday to an are where there was a lot of logging and rail road building here on Oregon. Found a couple of foundations near a creek and started swinging. The area is used for recreation and a makeshift dog park . Found tons of clad and junk. When I moved into the structure are found this nice Ch'ien Lung T'ung Pao coin. It was about 4 inches down and rang up like a dime. There were Chinese that worked on the rail road and construction and Gold mining in the Pacific North West in the 1800s. The Chinese that worked on the rail road were paid in Gold coins. They would bring these coins over from China that were in the family sometimes for generations. Also found this .45 Henry rim fire casing. $3.24 in clad and my oldest coin yet. I'll be back today. Thanks for looking, and HH.
