Detector(s) used
Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore.
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Went the other direction in the creek this time. While I didn't find any old coins (yet) did manage some stuff. Really like the decorated window latch bracket with sun and designs and draw pull escutcheon. Wasn't expecting that klaxson horn body or the buck knife. Blade is pretty good shape. Pummel not so much nor is blase side of bolster. Has a 1991 production code. It may go to Texas for a make over. New grips and bolster. Anyone know what that decorated handle item is?

Going to go back with stock coil for better depth. Only done it with sniper so I can get between rocks better and closer to creek bottom in some sections.

Nice hunt! Bet someone is really missing their Buck knife!

Ironically I lost the exact same Buck knife in a snow-melt swollen creek while rinsing camping dishes. The water was raging and in a split second the knife slid off the top plate and was gone!

Cool finds👍 very nice buck and 2nd pic is interesting 🤔
Id me group thinks it might be an iron rest or a handle off a castor set. It's that pewter pot metal color.

I bet someone somewhere saying
"where the hell did I put that knife
Most likely. Since there was no sheath with it it probably got put down and washed down stream. Bank there is thick but also spaced out stalks of creek plants. Definitely too shallow to fish here. Lots of deer. And chunks of glass insulators
