Old yard Finds!!!!

Some relics I found hunting an old yard. One is a Fifteenth National Convention pin. Not sure what the L-shaped piece is. It is stamped Harris Patent Aug 9, 1870 May 23, 1871 and Domestic.

Cool finds. your pin thing looks like a mail slot. i know its way too small. That's just the first thing I thought of when i saw it.

Wow...You found Alot of cool stuff today! For some reason I think the L-shaped thing is part of a Door Hardware. Not sure but my house was built in 1888 and I had to take apart alot of the door locks. That was awhile ago so can't remember exactly.

Just looked at the brooch again...If those are Pink Rough Diamonds then you're a Go-Zillionaire! The stone on the right sure has an interesting "pillowy" glassy sheen. Or maybe just rose quartz? But don't discount it...take it to a Jeweler who will probably send you to a gemologist (Jewelers sometimes only look at "Cut" stones)...

On your bottom picture, it appears to me that the little match safe looking item may be sterling. To its left, that could be the lead piece to a brass printing plate.
