WS1 001.jpg, Found this old wood stove token yesterday . It has The B.C. Bibb Stove Co. Baltimore ,Md on one side with a wood stove in the center . The other side says est. in 1851 , The B.C.Bibb Stove Co , firplace heaters , cookstoves , ranges and furnaces. The token is the size of a quarter and made either of copper or brass. Just curious as when these were issued and if it have any value? Thanks for any info

Rulau's U.S. Tokens book says, "Bentley C. Bibb and H. P. Robbins formed a partnership to manufacture stoves in 1851. It was Bibb & Robbins 1851-1855, Bibb & Co. 1855-1877, Bibb & Son 1877-1889, and B. C. Bibb Stove Co. 1889-1918 or later. Bentley C. Bibb died June 23, 1894, aged 79. From 1851 until 1907 or later its location was the same - 39-41 Light St. (renumbered 107-109 in 1886)." He lists the date as (1889) meaning that date or later. He shows both brass and copper varieties with a valuation of $5 each in Very Fine.
