Old whatsit ?

Hello Tnet, found this small brass/copper object today.
Its about the size of a 5 eurocent coin. And reads "new departure" its pretty weird to find something english related here because i live in the Netherlands.. It looks broken of and is about 2/3 mm wide . Anybody an idea ?

No clue... but in English... prolly from some type of sealed bag... who knows might even be some armed forces type of thing.

I was just throwing the "tag / seal" thing out there...

It obviously denotes a "direction" of an item... therefore I just deduced that it would be a seal or a tag to or for something. heh
