Thought Id share this great item. You don't see many old things coming from Denver. Visiting Mom down in Trinidad Co, she took me out to a great place. It is so rich with history down here. Nice to get out. Wish I had my detector when I lived in Coakdale. Hope I have time to go back in the am!! Anyone have any info on the buckle or hat band? It says let er buck Denver at the bottom. I absolutely love finding items from Denver. Happy hunting!

Almost had a heart attack when I saw this post!
I went out this weekend with Seychick, only decent find for me was a Denver skyline badge(?)
Put it in my front pocket, and sometime during the day managed to lose it.
Wherever it is, it's lying on the surface.
Or was.
Saw your post and immediately figured it was from someone here detecting in Denver.
Yours is way nicer and looks older, mine had a 1930-40's feel to it.
Had the state flower on the bottom whereas yours has the Bronco-buster.
Does it have a manufacturer's name on the back? Usually Chicago or somewhere back east, hopefully Denver.
You can sometimes get a date range that way.
Kudos!

Yeah, finding anything with "Denver" on it is a good day.

To bad you lost yours. Its funny when I put mine in my upper shirt pocket, I thought to myself "I've lost things in this pocket before" My pocket has a zipper and so zipped it in. I would have loved to have seen yours. Maybe you can retrace your steps and find it.
No makers mark. Looks more like a decorative belt piece or hat piece where something would slide through. Thanks for the post!

So I call Seychick, tell her about your post, then jump in my car to leave work. Feel something funny on the floorboard, look down, there's my badge!
Yours is way nicer, love the style of it. Mine's pretty toasty, especially on the reverse. Still, great to re-find.
Gotta love the early Colorado relics!Denver Badge.jpg

They are both great pieces of history! I am sure glad you found it. I did find a solder mark on the back of mine so now I think its a badge holder. I grew up in Lakewood and Golden. Love the old parts of Denver. Its nice to find things you can connect with:)
