Old well

I finally got back to the site of the water tower I scouted last year. I did not find anything but some big brass washers. Further down the hill I detected around some big old oaks and found some old plow pieces, a piece of chain, A small door off of a wood stove, an old hoe and some old shotgun brass. I came across an old stone lined well. I hope no one falls in. Well I can finally scratch this place off my list of detecting sites.

Looks like a nice area, but maybe you should give the coordinates for the well to the county, maybe they will do something maybe they wont.....(Then again it didnt look to be that deep )

Keep digging the iron junk there. Good targets will show up when you get the junk out of the way. Old wells are good spots to dig. DD

Look just like 2 wells i've found out in the woods, also same results,
well, I got a Beautiful IH, but no stunners.
I'm gonna check them again this year, they are too remote to be hunted out (Is a site ever hunted out )

It's deep enough that if you fell in it would hurt. I am going to tell someone.

I think that's a good idea. I could totally see a kid finding it and ending up at the bottom (without Lassie to go get help).
