I found this wedding band today in the same area I've found several items dating to late 1800's- early 1900s. There are no markings on ring and I thought it was an old silver ring till I got home and acid tested it. First time using acid test but I think I did correctly and it was negative for silver. So my questions are do you think this is 1800's wedding band? If it's not silver what other "white" metal would this be? Nickle? I'm going to take it up to my jeweler and have it grinded and polished back to life and give it to my wife to wear as charm on silver necklace. Thought it it'd be cool if it is an 1800s ring as a charm.

It definitely looks plated and maybe what was called a dime store ring back in the day. I'm thinking it's not any older than the 1960s or 70s.
