Old Water Pump Nut Wrench

I picked this up today at a sale that had a bunch of old tools. Guessing it is for automotive use. Anyone know what particular car or truck it's for? The jaws are 1 7/16".

I found a similar looking one that claims to be a Duesenberg Water Pump Gland Wrench here.

I guess it would depend on dimensions.

old cars had a packing on the water pump, not a seal. when water started to drip around the shaft you would take that wrench and thighten the packing a little.
