If the typewriter is not repair worthy, the keys alone are worth $30-50 to crafters who make jewelry from them.

Sweet old typewriter Fossis. :icon_thumright: 3 bucks, how do people come up with prices? ???

I think all it needs is ink, I didn't know about the jewelry making.

Thanks, I wonder the same thing. :icon_scratch:

I don't recall ever seeing a typewriter with the carrage return on the right side. :icon_scratch: When in good condition, these old Remingtons were really smooth operating machines.

Now that you mention it, neither have I.

You can always use the 'find & peck method'. :tongue3:

Looks like it is missing the power cord. :laughing7:
Where do you plug in the monitor?

Got 3 of the old ones here in storage- needing repairs, plus 1 old wood and cast iron cashregister from early 1900's one of my best finds just driving down the road.

Nice find. I use to type on one like that in the 50's !

A very nice fine. I paid $55 for the exact same one at an antique store. And while the jewelry is cool, if it still functions it just isn't worth mangling such a beautiful machine.
