Old trolling weight?

I found this on the beach (sort of),well close to the beach anyway.It's about a foot long from tip to tip and weighs 7 lbs..Needless to say when I got such a strong signal,I thought it was something really good.But this is what I ended up with.It has markings on it that say" Roloff mfg. corp. Kaukauna wisconsin tw-7".I almost positive it's a trolling weight for a downrigger but I can't find out much info. on the company.Here's a pic.-

HA-HA,that's funny.Actually,I have a friend with a boat and I/we were trolling with a downrigger a little too deep.Needless to say it was my fault that it got snagged on the bottom and we lost it so I figure i'll give it to him. -H.H.-diggummup
