I returned to the old town park in the woods today. It was a great day to hunt. This makes my fifth trip I believe. I thought I had hunted it out but... So, I used my larger stock coil on the AT Pro this time. Was pleased to find Gold! It's an Odd Fellows ring/band. I have been surfing the web for another one like it but no luck. I can't find a karat marking but there is a nice monogram in there! Found another Seated, 1875. A 1901 Indian and old brass ring.

Oh man, that is a real nice Odd Fellows ring, and I mean really nice.
Best I've ever seen posted that was dug.
I bet that was someones that was high up the pecking order.
if you ever sell, that might start a nice bidding war.
Serious Odd fellow item!

Wow that's one sweet site you have. That place is full of keepers. Congrats on yet another great hunt. :occasion14:

Thanks Carl! I am assuming it's older since no karat markings. Still haven't found one like it online. I knew it was gold as soon as I saw the rim glisten. And, wish I knew the back story on the owner. I bet he was pissed! Very large size too.

Very cool odd fellows find. I have a 14k hand engraved odd fellows "jewel" while I didn't find it detecting, it's a really cool piece. Mine was hand carved in 1912. 14k and real diamonds ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1458671305.436518.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1458671323.435901.jpg

Wow, what a wonderful hunt that turned into! That ring is super nice and from the look of it, it's certainly old. Congrats!

Very nice set of finds. The ring is spectacular! Well played.

Very cool finds, very cool GOLD ring, if I had my way it would be banner, of course my idea of banner is a little different then most! :-)

All great finds. Thanks for sharing with us

Had the Ring tested at a local jeweler for carat today. It is 12K (50% gold). Size 11 and I will weigh it tonight. I guessed it is around 3 grams I think it is worth more as a collector piece. That would put it around $59 melt value. I don't sell many items. But, I am going to list this one on Ebay this evening to see where she goes. Any finds that that can buy new toys for detecting is good in my book. I wish I could find a comparable ring online to have a good idea of a starting price.

Very cool finds, especially the ring. Good luck next time in there.

Weighed it at 5.6 grams. 3 days left on auction. Will let you know how it does.
