found this tool in a barn built around 1850.. have no clue to what it was used for.. well i always thought a jack or somthing to change tires.the head can be angled, or used too anyway ..its froze up now ..been sitting outside for a while.. and if you look the head is two pieces..looks like it used to slide in and out on the bolt where it pivots.. cant make out the date.. is it 1907 or or 1807 or 1867,,im gonna go with 1867.. dont know how long the handle used to be..anybody know what it is or have any ideas? thanks very much!!!

It's a barbed wire stretcher. The old farmer who owns my hunting lease asked us if we would fence one side of the land if he bought the wire and tposts. We agreed and he gave us a stretcher just like this except it was all cast iron, even the handle. We like to never figured out how to use it but it was old and rusty and worked like a charm once we figured it out. Monty
