Found a token that is just a bit larger than a dime but smaller than a penny. It says Sampson wind mills on top and stover mfg co. on the bottom. On the reverse from top to bottom- ideal feed mills and stover gasoline engines freeport, ILL. Did people collect these things or what the heck was it for?

And I have no idea what this could have been. the white part is plastic and unscrews from the body of the thing. the end of the white plastic has a hole in it like it could have been a pen, however, the hole doesn't go all the way through the plastic. The thing has some heft to it kind of like a center punch and has a knurled body like a punch. No idea... interesting though.

I've been trying to ID a few tokens myself so started looking around the web, found a site that is all about tokens and has tons of them, I searched for the token you found using the name and didn't find it unfortunately, but I found some other information about Sampson wind mills and stover mfg co, and this link tells where the company is, and also has tabs to other info for their company so hopefully this may help. Here's their link: Windmill Literature .com Stover Mfg. Co. Samson Model M Instructions)

PS: There contact info is at this link: Windmill Literature .com Contact Us and includes an email so I hope that helps.

I started searching by state at this other website and there are 584 pages of tokens listed fort the state of Illinois, but here's a link to that site if interested TokenCatalog.com

I hope you find what you're looking for, if I see it I'll follow up!

IN pretty certain the tool is actually a dart, tossed at a dart board.
the white pc is removable and interchangeable, holds the flights
You should see 3 slots an the end
Ive been an avid dart player for years

Wow nice... never would have thought dart... I threw darts years ago in leagues and it never even crossed my mind... thanks

The end is too corroded to see the slots but after looking it over pretty good I'm sure that's what it is.

BUT - what is odd is the color and shape of the end that accepts the darts flight, I think you might look into this more due to the white end, is it plastic?, bone?
usually a metal end
