Found this old jack but don't know jack about it. I can see the maker's name on the handle but just cant make it out. I have tried about every collaboration of letters to get at least close on google search but come up empty. I suspect it to be from 1910-1920 period and the name is something close to but not exactly The SHAWIER Co. I got the "The and the Co" right but nothin in the middle works out. I think it starts with S and ends in ER but the A and the W and the I may be something else. Not my kind of artifact but thought I would clean it up anyways. Electrolysis is doing its job but not helping me much with an ID as of yet. I think I need a Jack Man. Back in the tank it goes. Thanks all, vn DSC00036.JPGDSC00024.JPGDSC00022.JPGack.JPG

Dang - I must have looked at a zillion jacks so far and can't find one with three holes on the handle!

Here is a better pic. I have tried different lighting and different angles and even filters on Picasso.

That solved it, found the name in the 1913 Chilton that you linked. They made jacks as early as 1907 but that's all I could find tonight, no exact match yet but the name is spot on....The Shawver Co. Thanks a million.
