Whether you support or hate the KKK, it's still a part of our history.
Here's a photo of a aluminum Klan Token I found last year.

Klan in the North had some different perspective.
One area near my hometown in particular it was described as a social club where if you do business with me I will with you.
And allegedly regardless of race.
Now a false wall revealed documents and more but I never read them.
Was supposed to be lists of members.

I didn't study the clan to see if prior to racial extremes in the South it was more sociable here.
I do recall the old couple who's house had the false wall.
Don't recall any bias in their business or elsewhere.

No I don't applaud harm to others about race.
I do believe it warrants more research if an indication of clan involvement seems out of context of known negative conduct. Just in case someone gets painted with a broad brush that honestly wouldn't support abuse of others.
( Yes that seems strange given the usual image of clan members.)

JFYI.... 90% of these pins and other items like it including the hooded pin are in fact not real... nor were most items like this ever used.

I know this from years ago someone i knew had a collection of pins like these they bought from a yard sale and they all turned out to be fantasy pieces.
Produced like the fake civil war crap.

Very few real items were ever produced.

KKK was formed in Pulaski, Tn, post War Between the States General (CSA) Nathan Bedford Forrest was elected as Main Man , in abstention, co-founder.
KKK original purpose was to protect "poor whites & blacks from carpetbaggers, excess taxes and being prayed upon by Northern sympathizers.Later on in months, maybe a year, the Klan changed it's dogma and turned into an organization that Gen. Forrest resented, thus he stepped D O W N.
General Nathan B. Forrest's funeral was viewed by over 3, 000 blacks and twice the number of white people.
Loosers don't get to write the history books.

Fantasy item commonly for sale at flea markets back in the 70's and early 80's

It's still a neat piece.

First off I don't agree with anything that organization did or does. Co worker said he got this in the seventies in elementary school that he attended in the country. Not sure how much of this is true or not but if it's real it's still some crazy memorabilia
Old Relic!!! Congrats!!!
