My old 1991 Chevy Lumina had one very similar, but I'm sure lots of other things do as well, like tractors or generators for instance.

Same as it finds such a thermostat was told that my pre-1940

Yeah, thermostats haven't changed much over the years and that's what makes it kinda hard to tell without any numbers or anything.

Yep! Early Ford flat head, '32/'39. Tony
