A stake at best but not a RR spike...

Probably not a tent stake either...would have means to hold a rope.

Hopefully it wasn't a property pin that someone put in to mark their corner or line:laughing7: I started digging one of my dads out when I started detecting years ago....until he saw me.......:laughing7:

My old barn in NH used large iron spikes exactly like that to hold the main beams together rather than the wooden pegs used in years prior.

Good call on the harrow spike. I found some pics of some online that are the exact same thing dating back to the 1910's

I believe you have early railroad spike , and a ring from old spike keg.
