I have no clue what this is. Thats a switch on the front. Light/Lamp Switch? I don't know.

Found it in the lot next to my sisters house. Looks like a house was once there. Anyway to date these locks?

You can do a google check under Mortise Locksets. That will give you an idea as to age.
