Hello to all,

i'm new at this forum. I hope i will saty long here.
I didn't quite dig from dirth my findings. There is a family story that my grand grandfather fought in Boxer uprising in China 1899-1901. He was a sailor in austro-hungarian navy.
I found some pictures of him in China. My grandma also told me that he brought some stuff from India too. You can see it on photos. The thing with my grandma is that she told me that when she was old and she begun to lose her contact with reality so she said some things that aren't true. She made up some things.
Once she told me when i wass 7 year old that some badge is my grandfather war medal from WW I. Offcourse it wasn't true. So i really don't know about these stuff.

The head looks old but it doesn't look indian, more arab. What about other stuff ? Could these stuff be made and sold 100 years ago in India ?

I appreciate every answer and explanation.

Thanks

Hey there.
You may wanna give us some more details on your findings...
What are they made of, size, any markings and more pics of course. Where did you say you live/come from?
I don't think one can draw any conclusions with what you wrote.

And a piece of advice if you want to take it... don't shoot pictures of items you want to talk about and be taken seriously in your... bathroom!

The elephant looks nice...

I'm from Croatia. But my grand grand father brought this stuff when he was on his voyage with navy in China (Boxer uprising 189-1901). My grandma says he brought it from India.

Head is 15X9 cm, statue is 30 cm and elephants are 16X16 cm. Elephants and statue are made of wood. Head is ceramic. Head can be opened and you can put something in it.

Teenage girls take photo in bathroom so can i take photo of my elephants :D

There are some marks on the bottom but they have no sense at all and look unprofessionaly made. It could be made by my grandpa or father when they were children.
Marks are letter Y, letters BB, number 8110 and written by pencil letter R and number

There are no markings on elephants or statue
