I was searching for another colonial site and found the pitcher pump. I then dug a bunch of barrel bands and part of the pipe to the pump.I noticed six old concrete blocks in a four foot square. I guess they took the cooper pots with them. I started searching slow and found lots of shotgun brass, a crown flat button, pewter spoon handle, and what I think is a brass spoon handle. I was walking out after a hour and got the silver signal and saw it was a mercury. When I got home and got the loupe our I saw it was a 1916 D.

FANTASTIC! Would love to see some close ups of the dime. GRATS TO YA!

Very nice finds, sweet silver! :occasion14:

I think a 1916d deserves to be in the thread title at least :laughing7:

Congrats

Yeah me too. Let's see some pics of that Dime.

Way to go. Nice finds.

Nice dime find. Congrats. Let’s have a look at it.

Just googled that dime. :o

Do you have any up close pictures of the 1916 D dime you can post?

Very nice hunt! :icon_thumleft:

Congratualtions on the 1916 D Mercury dime! IMHO: I would post that dime in a single thread with the coin as part of the title (as Bologna321 suggested)! :occasion14:

Please post close up photos of the front and back so we can also enjoy the experience.
