The past few days I've been searching near some train tracks and I came away with some cool keepers. I just rinsed so a lot of it is still dirty. My phone camera lense is scratched to hell so these are the best pics I could manage. I wonder if there is anything in that tunnel? Haha

2 Hemingray Glass Insulators for a Telegraph Line (according to research), the blue one was manufactured between 1910-1921.

2 toasted wheats
2 Indians
1 V nickel found on the surface
1 Old Jefferson
1 ring

And a variety of finds near a foundation. (see pics). Thanks for looking.

Nice hunt! I never have had luck searching by train tracks. Usually too much trash. Did you research an old rail station? I've found a number of these old defunct stations on maps I have been researching, but have hesitated because of past bad luck along train tracks.

At this spot there used to be a pedestrian bridge that crossed the tracks. I also searched on both sides of the steps which is how I found the ring. Surprisingly not a lot of trash at the walkway and steps. I haven't searched any train station sites yet. I'm still searching in Pittsburgh/Allegheny County area, I noticed you've cleaned up a lot of sites elsewhere haha. I was wondering about searching the tunnel but it's probably trashy and trains seldom still use the tracks.
