Wow -- that's pretty mangled alright. I'm surprised it straightened out as much as it did without breaking into a whole bunch of tiny pieces. You're more determined than I would have been.

Wow, I think that spoon made an attempt at my wife’s meatloaf!!! 🤪
You did a great job at straightening it.
Any makers mark on the back?
William Roger’s?

Found at 1890 site at lunch break, mangled bad, it was hard to bend and of course I snapped it . Magnet won't stick, will clean it up when I get home
Nice!!! Congrats!!!

That was one crazy bent spoon. Good attempt at getting it to look like a spoon again.

Future project for myself:
Annealing it first before straightening might prevent the item from snapping.
(bumbling/then mumbling the attempts of lets just bend it a little)

Basically heating, then letting it cool, repeat.
Then will soften the brass and then it can be worked without cracking.
To quench or to let it cool naturally is up for debate on my forums.
I've had hammered silvers straightened years ago and it worked great.

I was slow with it, put it in a vise, maybe that was a bad idea , but at least it's still complete
