Found this last weekend at a 1700s house I'm just curious if anyone can maybe (I know the pics aren't that great) date it it looks like it's made of iron like the other handle I posted earlier would it be from the same time period and if anyone knows any tricks to get the corrosion off so it looks better without damaging it I'd appreciate it thanks image.webpimage.webpimage.webp

IMO, It's def, made of Iron , Electrolysis is also IMO the best way to clean it up (doubtful if you will see any marks on it given the level of corrosion.

It will likely break if you try to bend it back , likely not worth the effort but do I since a little OCD ?
I'm that way Big Time, IMO The Barber Dime is the real Prize find What year is it? also what is the Coin or Token pictured underneath it?. My computer is messins up R-N. So Nice Finds
