O.K. i dont know how to crop images so i made a vid on youtube of them all, enjoy :)

Hey Guys!!

Found this 9 years ago back in the good old days when i was 6 years old.

I'm about 80% it was in Scotland

Was eather rocky beach, or im about 70% it was at the side of a big lake

It was about 6 inches underwater if my memories are correct

I'm certain thats its an old spoon handle with the head (circular eating part) snapped off

It's just under 3 inches long, 2.8 inches

6/8's inches wide at one end and 1.5/8's of an inch at the neck.

has markings that are not clear, i have drawn what i think they say

believe it is silver

when you see it side on, there is a destinctive curve.

weighs at 18g------5/8oz

if you need any more info i'll check it out for you

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Chad:)

just watch vid :D

We need a good-quality close-up photo of the hallmarks to determine age.

i agree.

There are instructions here somewhere on how to crop or reduce the size of images. You need to reduce the physical size of your image.

I thought they taught kids how to use computers in school nowadays? :icon_scratch:

the hallmarks are to faded to get a good picture of them. ive drawn the best i can of what i think they look like, in the vid. ill look at it under a microscope today but i dont think ill be able to see anything else.

doesnt the picture ive drawn of what i think the hallmark mean anything to you?

The drawn pics were great... I just spent an hour looking at them and comparing them to existing marks... back to the 1700s.

They however did not help, and I also would LOVE to see a macro shot of the marks... I think I know what some of those marks are, but... need the pics.

It's been a long time already... see if you can wait long enough to get some great photos of it.

We would all like to solve the mystery - help us help you!

and whats a micro shot jim?
I think he said macro shot. Use the Macro setting on your camera for good clear close-ups. ...usually indicated by a flower icon.

Chad, we have a test forum here where you can test your images before posting. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/board,198.0.html

Try moving your image to Paint, Irfanview, Nero Photosnap, or whatever you have, and you can resize and crop there, then save it.

Chad, they do not teach this in school in England? Are you in High School?

I just recently learned myself so dont feel bad. We had no computers in my school. Tell me if you have Paint or whatever and I will try to help you resize. Nero Photosnap Viewer Essentials is easiest in my opinion. Do you have Windows XP?

Oh OK I didnt know. I thought all the kids nowadays were computer literate. Kids are very good on computer here in the USA. Other countries like China, Pakistan, India and Russia are passing us up. Even Africa is catching on. I never learned until recently because i am an old man lol. Computers werent invented yet when i was in school. :D I advise you try to learn or get left behind in the modern world of computer electronics.

The Macro lens (flower icon) should work great. You may need to read the instructions with your particular camera. You also need a way to transfer it to the PC.
Tell your sister to resize if crop is not enough.. If you have Nero Photosnap Viewer Essentials it is surprisingly easy and fun too. Try it. Dont forget you can use the "test" forum all you need. Good luck. If you or your sister have any particular questions, i will try to help. :) :)
