Sorry bud, can't help but it looks like a really nice find. Appears to maybe be solid silver from what I can see but I am no expert, just a fellow hunter. Congrats on a nice piece.
Takes a bit of digging through the site but there is ALOT of info. If you run into problems like I did from one I found this past year, go to their forum and ask there. I did and found out that mine was from the 1700's!
I don't recognize these marks , but I do think your spoon is circa 1830's or 40's - by the shape/style and the shell motif - I'm
thinking it is European because of the number of marks - American silver normally displays the makers mark and a silver standard ,
(sterling /coin) It clearly isn't English - the marks don't conform to their system at all . Keep us posted - Nice Find !
69 = 1869 --- 1 over M = January so its made during the month of January in 1869
Then we have Makers mark HS ?? dont have my book here - if noone else respond. I shall find my book.
13 1/3 L is the silver contents 13 1/3 part of 16. Where 16 is pure silver. Rest is copper.
Last mark is Bergen. This is the latest info,,just got this reply to my post on Online encyclopedia of Hallmarks. Also had it tested at local coin shop,,,90% +
