Without visible numerals you generally have to go from style and a general time span. My best guess would be Mexico City cob 1 reale made between 1598 and 1665... maybe go as late as 1700.

Sweet! So definitely during the time pirates were still a real scourge on the oceans, long before they began their decline in the mid 1700's!
