Hey everyone, this is my first post here, so I hope I don't do anything wrong! I actually found this coin in a tin my dad had stashed away in a file cabinet. After my dad passed I was going through his things and came across it and some wheat pennies and an older French coin. I just recently started into coins, so I had a question about this particular one. I have been looking through the site and I believe it is some sort of Spanish coin, but not sure about much more than that.

Modern replica Spanish 1709 2 reale cob.

You did everything right, just unlucky on the coin.

Thanks for the welcome. Just out of curiosity, how can you tell it's a replica?

About the other coin, I already looked it up, it was easy to find. I'd say it's in VG condition. It's a 1916 10 centisme (sp?) coin from France. It's not worth much, but it is a nice looking coin.

After you look at so many you just know.

10 Centimes.

The easiest way to tell is that its not silver. It appears to be a shiny pot metal replica. I would love to see the cross side. Do you know how old it is?
