Old Smoke House finds

I hunted around an 'Old Smoke House' today with my Grandson, we found several relic's, stove parts, mowing machine parts, pocket watch part, farming implements, packard car part, buggy spring seat, etc... I hope to hunt the house site later, (just rock foundation left).
He wandered off looking for worms & bugs, said he wanted to find some 'Gold'.

Some nice finds u got there. 3rd pic downtop left is part of an old sickle bar. My grandpa had one of those he used to cut hay with. He would hook em behind the old IH " cant remember what model it was" and away he would go. Those where some cutting bars in there day.

Thanks, we had fun, there was an 'old horse drawn mowing machine' parked in the briars rusting away.

That is the way you do it fossis,Get out with the young and have some fun.
It is great to see the veterans getting the young out and getting them interested in MD'ing.
The main thing is that they enjoy what they are doing.Congrats on a great day of hunting
with a future hunter.

Thanks, I take the Grandkids hunting fossils, detecting, & exploring, I am (Grandpa) to lots of cousins & nieces & nephews also.
I try to teach them all I can about the 'Great Outdoors'.

Hey Fossis, cool stuff. My friend just got an MD, and I got to tag along on the first hunt. That was fun!Thought it would take awhile to learn to use it, but we found an old horse shoe, didn't know that could be so exciting, some 22 casings, scrap pieces, and best of all a token. I thought it was a coin at first, but it was still a lot of fun. This could be as entertaining as hunting Indian artifacts. Can't wait to get out again.

Thanks naturegirl, yes it is a lot of fun digging up 'pieces of history' it doesn't get much better, hunting Indian Artifacts is 'great too'.
