Went back up to that lucky spot before construction covers it over. It was one of the more exciting hunts I've had, these all came from a 5 foot area. I only hunted for about 2 hours before dark. 43 good for 5 cents and one toasted nickel I think. They are probably from around 1915ish. I wonder if they were made into a bingo game but I don't know why the holed ones would be in there also. It sure was fun. I'll probably give them a light tumble and sell them in the antique store. My first hoard in my own mind:) Happy Hunting!!

The ones with the holes could be slugs that people use to cheat the machines. It was typical of that era to use copper or brass washers because the only security measure the machine had was a magnet

The holed ones are different, one has good for 5 cents with a long number on the back. One says liberty bell good for 5 cents. I'll have to clean them and look at them closer soon.

We find those Hold Slot tokens here also.

Nice Score

Those are some very cool "token-coins", I bet there are a lot more to be found! :occasion14:

That's pretty cool! Thanks for sharing!

Those sure cleaned up nice! Here's a few more pictures. I was tired that night and was sure happy to see the 3 merchant tokens in the am. They are a favorite find always:) What a great variety. Looks more like 1900-1910. Odd numbers 3, 7, 10's and 13's interesting! Maybe it was a collection but they are all so similar! Thanks for looking!

To the right buyer those tokens may be fairly valuable $20 - $60 each.

Awesome recoveries!
I found several of the "holed" type slot tokens in the woods a couple years back and one of them still had a rusted steel insert filling the hole.

Where theres tokens there's got to be silver near by.

Happy Hunting!
