Hey people!

I am not sure if this is the right website, I think so, but tell me if I am wrong :tongue3:

I got this key around 5 years ago on ebay and I cannot remember where it was from and how old it is. Peru comes to mind, but I could be so wrong.

It didn't have much patina on it when I got it, it was bought more around 8 years ago if I recall.

Are you implying that it is fake? I don't get what you mean...

Anyone else want to help me? I really want some more information about this key, where it's from, how old it is, etc.

Interesting bronze key. How long is it? 2-3 inches? It may be authentic or it may be a reproduction, hard to tell from photos alone (for me anyway). It's a Roman key design, judging from the little nib sticking out from the top of it. Value... $10-$30??. Here is a very similar one I found here, image no.285 - Keys

Here is a similar one that sold on ebay recently- Fine Roman Bronze Key | eBay

Thank you a lot, I just measured and it is 2 3/8 inches. Too bad there is no description for the key on that website you linked.

From what I understand, for the most part, a bigger comparable key will be worth more? Rome does sound about right from where I got it, as I said I got it so long ago, and I dont think it's worth getting checked out if it's only in that price range.
