Howdy, I made a post of this find in another topic but just trying to identify the time period of this ring. If someone knows something or have an idea please let me know. I don't know, but it sure has all the right characteristics of the late medieval period.

Woa! Yes your right! When I look at it with a magnifying glass you see like alot of the imperfections which cleary is a clue that it was made hundreds of years ago! What really intrigues me and makes me think is that yes it looks like the period already mentioned and you guys want to know where I found it? Puerto Rico. Ok lets get this thing straight. PR was discovered in 1493 on Columbus’ 2nd voyage. The exact location on where Columbus landed is still highly on debate to this date. The beach where I found the ring is on list of where he might of landed. At least I know that on this beach it was highly used as an import/exporting goods port. The medieval period lasted up until the 15th century. So definitely that ring was from one of those early settlers probably went skinny dipping and lost it! [emoji13]

Its hard to tell the imperfections from the straight up corrosion - but it look old!

I have personally visited three of the four locations where Columbus first landed in the America.
Revisionist history at its finest! :)
