I went and hunted with oldjerseygirl today, we went back on those roads behind her house where the sandstone quarry was. I found this busted old buckle, after brushing it a little I noticed some still left silver plating on it. Too bad its not whole and still plated. Pretty cool though in my book.

Nice find Brad. I am having withdrawals here lol.

It does look like someone was living a bit high on the hog back in the day. That looks like
it would've really been spectacular back then.

Nice!

Nice find treble, very ornate too.I see some very old money in your future:icon_cyclops_ani:-HH man

That's one heck of a big buckle! Hey you got out were able to dig and had fun! Awesome in my book!

All I can do is stare at the frozen ground and try to melt it with my X-ray vision....not working so far! Lol!

is that an S emblem on it twice? it seems when you find a piece of something cool, you tend to search pretty hard around the area trying to find the rest of it. most of the time I never find the rest of it. at least you are getting out but you had better watch it, you may turn into a land blubber yet! Ha!

It almost looks like the Ying and Yang symbol, If I look at it with my loop it is a very ornate design around those symbols. I think the brass is corroded and it makes the ornate design not as sharp.
Believe me when those temps rise into the eighties I'll be back in that water, ha lol

Thanks all you guys for your nice comments.
