Old Silver Plate Spoon Stamped "The White House" Found

Today in a Chicago woods, my wife hit this old looking spoon, probably from the 1940s, and stamped The White House. It was made by the Oxford Silver Plate Co. :headbang: What an nice and unexpected find :notworthy: Not in the best condition, but a great find nonetheless, in my opinion. Hey, it can be restored :dontknow: I could not find any info online. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.

Very neat find! Isn't the White House a historical landmark in Chicago?

I don't think the stamp on the spoon refers to the Dupont-Whitehouse House landmark.

I don't know of any place in Chicago called The White House.
