Old Silver Plate Spoon Stamped "The White House" Found

Today in a Chicago woods, my wife hit this old looking spoon, probably from the 1940s, and stamped The White House. It was made by the Oxford Silver Plate Co. What an nice and unexpected find Not in the best condition, but a great find nonetheless, in my opinion. Hey, it can be restored I could not find any info online. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.

I don't think the stamp on the spoon refers to the Dupont-Whitehouse House landmark.

I don't know of any place in Chicago called The White House.
