Went out with Wes, a new friend made through this site, Monday and Tuesday and we hit a colonial church field hoping to find some relics and old coins. We spent two consecutive mornings out there searching for a total of about 6 hours. Here are the goods I found from the two days searching. First is a souvenir coin I found of The Cathedral Church of St John the Divine. It's from New York and I found it here in Suffolk, Va. Not sure how old the coin is. I included someone elses pics of the coin to show the better detail...Mine has been in the ground a while. Found V nickels on back to back days. Day 1 I found the 1884 and Day 2 I pulled the nice 1883. 1883 is the first year minted for these coins. Found Indians on back to back days as well. Day 1 I pulled the 1859(first year minted) and Day 2 I got the 1902. And last but definitely not least is my best coin pull from the two days. On the way back to the car I hit a deep signal on the E-trac. It was bouncing around but had good conductive numbers. Anywhere from 08-40 thru 18-42 and the depth meter was buried down at the bottom. I dug down about 10 inches and pulled this beat up 1821 Bust dime!!! Best coin find I've made in quite a while! Hope you enjoy the finds.
Happy Hunting!
